Vulnerability

We talk a lot about vulnerability these days. In recent interviews with Lina & You, with leaders, with friends. And the more I think about it, the more obvious it becomes.

Everything that is truly valuable in life is vulnerable. A mass-produced object has no vulnerability because it has no meaning. You can replace it, forget it, throw it away. It holds no weight.

But the things that shape us, move us, change us, are always the fragile ones. The people we care about and the dreams we dare to pursue. Even the planet beneath our feet, the only one we will ever stand on, is vulnerable.

Our willingness to be seen for who we really are. Nothing precious is ever invulnerable and nothing meaningful is ever completely safe. Vulnerability is not something to hide. It is that signal that something really matters.

And maybe that is the whole point; what is vulnerable is valuable, not because it lasts forever, but because it does not. And when you allow yourself to see that clearly, whether in a person or in the world around you, you start treating things with a different kind of respect and a different kind of love.

That is the moment where courage begins. It is the doorway to connection, trust and growth.

So maybe the question is not how to avoid vulnerability. Maybe the real question is whether we are brave enough to honour it. In ourselves and in each other.

Because everything beautiful carries risk. And everything that carries risk carries value.
